the eggroll: week one

Hi friends! How was your week? I had a day off in the middle of the week to do all the boring adult-life maintenance like paperwork, doctors appointments, and tending to some family stuff. I was looking forward to it, but it wasn’t a fun day off by any means.

This week I also interviewed for a job at the mall for the holiday season, I also tackled cleaning out my closet (documented over on my instagram stories and overall a 6 hour process), visited a new food hall in Oklahoma City, and went to a Chance the Rapper vs Childish Gambino spin class.

READING

At the recommendation of a new-to-me doctor, I’m making my way through The Obesity Code. Very interesting science-based research about weight loss, exercise, and the importance of healthy habits.

I made it a goal to get myself this week, so I got re-acquainted with spin class at CycleBar Classen Curve. I’ve been a spinner for the past 6 years (even went to a teacher training!), and I feel like going all-in this fall and be an early morning rider. This article had something to do with it. 

I’ve been really into Influencer news and culture, so this tell all about Caroline Calloway had me shook. Differing stories aside, Natalie is one hell of a writer.

I’ve been following Tavi forever, so this was a real treat to read.

LISTENING

Jessica Lanyadoo has been one of my favorite podcasters over the past few months. I usually make a pot of coffee and listen to her answer a listener question and then go over the astrology for the next week. Like she says, it’s no bullshit mystical advice. Just a great way to start my week.

I hit publish on my late summer six playlist. This one is about WOMEN. There have been so many great album releases by women this year, especially in country music. Check it out and subscribe!

WORKOUTS: Spin class on Monday evening, Tuesday morning, and Thursday morning. Walk Amy the rest of the days.
